Job Summary:

This important operations position is responsible for working cooperatively with a team of other workers in the warehouse and sublease location nearby. Some of the duties that are carried out by the Boss Products, LLC warehouse associate/inventory float include maintaining inventory, shipping and receiving orders, processing orders received, examining products for damage, maintaining warehouse space, and ensuring that they are organized, strictly complying with the Company’s rules and regulations. You may also be expected to think of or utilize new, effective or more efficient ways of maximizing warehouse procedures, assist with decisions and be collaborative. Boss Products asks that you be attentive, passionate, and eager to take initiative and learn new methodologies at work.

Warehouse Associates are asked to carry out a wide range of duties which may include processing incoming and outgoing shipments, deciphering work orders, locating items and/or, merchandise in storage locations, picking and pulling, inspecting incoming and outgoing merchandise for damage, utilization of inventory systems, storage systems, paperwork, machinery, packaging systems and phones. Reporting to work as scheduled, on time and prepared is of the utmost importance to this position.

Major Duties:

  • Administration of first aid of minor injuries and documents of any injuries sustained
  • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies within the process, materials, equipment as well as lets superiors know of issues
  • Arranges and labels goods & merchandise based on size, destination & schedule.
  • Filling work orders out promptly as required
  • Handling receipt of packages and other truck deliveries per protocol
  • Organize and boxing kits in different stock locations
  • Actively participating in the process of packaging, handling, transportation, and several other shipping‐related duties
  • Ensuring that warehouse environments and work areas are kept clean and organized, ensuring that doors are open and closed on time, end of the day maintenance/cleaning completed & equipment returned
  • Picking & organizing items to be shipped from the warehouse and accurately preparing them for delivery; consistently
  • Being timely and using time wisely; Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided
  • Creates purchase requests to manager based on department needs, budget, special orders
  • Communicates work hazards and strictly adheres to health and safety practices (OSHA Compliance)
  • Maintains accessible filing or electronic filing system for all non‐confidential & confidential documents
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to maintain even demeanor during challenging conversations
  • Ability to exercise professionalism & courtesy when dealing coworkers, vendors and customers
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to establish credibility with leadership, team and other departments
  • Ability to work overtime if needed

Education and Experience:

  • School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Forklift Experience (stand‐up/sit down) preferred
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred

Preferred Software Knowledge:

  • Inventory Management System(s) – SalesForce, Fishbowl
  • Microsoft Office Suite Preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk/working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Warehouse environments with extreme heat/loud machinery
  • Ability to be available for physical inventory counts
